Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest!

Well, it's that time again. I entered the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Contest and out of as many as 10,000 eligible entries possibly accepted, my young adult novel, Paper Tigers, made it into the top 1,000 for the YA category. I'm so happy.

I'm not nervous because I made it this far last year. If I make it to the next cut, March 20, then I'll probably get nervous. Well, more so, excited!

Right now, I'm working out another novel, sort of a Nicholas Sparks type I'm hoping, about love. I'm going to have to create it in a book right now. True love, that is. I'm just out of a relationship that I feel in ways I failed at miserably, but in most ways I know I tried my very best. But it hurts, and it sucks. I'm going to do what other writers I know and love do:  Put all that feeling into the novel and CREATE what I want for my life and live it  there for awhile in the story the comes to my heart.

I did that in my last novel, and you know what? Some things in that novel came true. Another great friend of mine said the same thing of her novel. There is absolutely magic in writing. And I'm profoundly grateful for it.

  1. Oh, Tracy-sorry about the personal heartache at the moment! I hope your writing what you feel DOES make it come true!

    1. Thank you, Hart. Time will heal, for sure. :) And, thank goodness the writing is there. It always helps!
